The Mercedes-Benz minivans are unmatched in their own segment when it comes to style and value, which has greatly contributed to its success so far. However, after a number of well-thought-out improvements, the V-class has been given a new look inspired by the current Mercedes-Benz passenger car series; designers have given it a more impressive front end, as well as new colours and materials, and the new model is equipped with luxury-class back seats for greater passenger comfort.
New Bumper Design
Thanks to the improved front part, the new V-class looks wider and leaves a stronger visual impression. This is achieved by having a new bumper design with impressive air-cooling inlets and radiator grill with a new diamond pattern. The Mercedes star is positioned at the centre of the radiator grille and it is framed by two silver-coloured slats. Therefore, the new V-class is instantly recognised as the representation of the current generation of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.
The personalisation options still remain unchanged with AVANTGARDE and EXCLUSIVE lines, however the AMG line is now visually more impressive – the already known AMG style bumper now has a new radiator grill with a diamond pattern made from chromed rivets.
New Colours, Alloy Wheels and Interior
For those who value not only our vehicle lines but also their colours, the new V-class is available in four new, elegant colours. The popular black and white tones are now expanded by new paint colours in metallic graphite-grey and metallic selenite-grey, the especially expressive metallic hyacinth-red, which is particularly popular among Mercedes-Benz passenger car owners, and the optional steel blue.
Alloy wheels have also changed. The current range includes 17, 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels with various types of spokes and a distinct glossy finish. These alloy wheels have an avant-garde like design and highly aerodynamic features that allow one to reduce the drag coefficient of the V-class even more.
The transformed V-class now has new air diffusers with a more sporty turbine look that we already know from the A-class model, as well as new dials in the instrument cluster which have a simpler design so that drivers can easily find their way around in it. The truffle-brown coloured Nappa leather used in the upholstery and equipment makes a modern and elegant statement, same as in the E-class and G-class models, but the Lugano and Nappa leathers in black or silk-beige colour in combination with black Santos fabric creates six different upholstery combinations in light and dark tones that will satisfy the wishes of the most demanding aesthetes. Black lacquer, ebony wood, carbon fibre and matte aluminium coloured trim elements are still available.
Luxury Class Seats for the Best Possible Comfort
Comfort is an integral part of the minivan segment. Up until now the V-class car has earned passenger appreciation thanks to the largest sliding panoramic roof in this segment, a wide central console with a built-in refrigerator and LED-lighted cup holders with adjustable temperature, as well as discreet ambient lighting in three colours with 5 levels of intensity. The middle row passengers of the new V-class can enjoy an additional benefit – same as in the S-class model, this model also has luxury seats with a reclining and massage function, as well as air conditioning. Passengers can choose between three different massage intensities and three different air conditioning settings, which will make the journey in the V-class car — for instance, when it is used as a car for VIP transfers — feel like a spa ritual after a long flight or a business meeting. The seats in the back of the V-class still provide various configuration options for various needs.
The New V-Class — Now Even Safer
It has already been 5 years since the V-class established a new safety benchmark in its segment with the side wind-assistant that allows the driver to maintain the set course of the vehicle even under strong side wind conditions, and sleepiness detection system — ATTENTION ASSIST. The transformation of the new V-class continues in the safety aspect as well, making it even better. For example, for the first time the new V-class is available with Active Brake Assist that can detect the risk of a collision with a vehicle ahead, moreover, in an urban environment, the Active Brake Assist reacts to stationary obstacles or pedestrians.
Another new safety feature is the high beam assistant that helps the driver to illuminate the road optimally when driving with high beams on. If there are other vehicles ahead, the LEDs in the high beam module are partially deactivated, creating a U-shaped tunnel in the light cone while the other parts of the road are still illuminated by the high beams (partial high beams).
In Latvia the Mercedes-Benz V-class can be ordered at the German company Daimler AG general representative in Latvia SIA Domenikss dealership.
